Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: Do you find new as well as used cars?
A: No. This service is for pre-owned or used high-end cars only.

Q: Why don't you do new cars?
A: Since new cars, unlike used cars, do not vary, regardless of the source from which they are obtained, it would make no sense to use our service. The only variable of concern on new cars is price, and for that you should use a service such as CARSDIRECT, the object of which is to find you the lowest price.

Q: What differentiates used from new cars that justifies your service?
A: The fact a car is used implies varying degrees of abuse and disrepair from negligible to very serious, introducing a variable not found in new cars. To address this, in addition to having a large base from which to draw, our service screens all candidate vehicles, and the client is offered only those which are sound and conform with his/her parameters, and are good value.

Q: Why should I pay to have a car found for me when I can do the job myself?
A: Anyone can do the job given enough time. Before considering our service, ask yourself, what is your time worth? This service is for those whose time is at a premium and/or have no inclination to go out and beat the bushes for a car themselves.

Q: What makes you think you can find a suitable car any better than I can?
A: You can probably do as good a job as we can, again, given enough time. With the database system to monitor the market, we have an enormous advantage over the periodic buyer in that we can do a comprehensive search in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take. Initiating a search employing the database is systematic, thorough, and efficient.

Q: Do I get my retainer back if the search is unsuccessful?
A: If the search does not go past the first round of follow-up calls on the cars matching your requirements yielded by the database, except where our consulting fee was accepted in lieu of retainer, the retainer is refundable. However, once we start the process of appraising cars on your behalf, the retainer becomes non-refundable.

Q: If I have used your Consulting Service, is the consulting fee (accepted in lieu of retainer) refundable in the event no suitable vehicle is found using your finding service?
A: No.

Q: How much is the retainer?
A: $350.

Q: I need a car. What do I have to do to get started?
A: Fill out and submit the Order Form. We will send confirmation by return e-mail, and obtain any additional details regarding your desired vehicle. If you decide to proceed, we will send you a Finding Service contract, which you need to send in along with retainer in order to initiate search. Alternatively, fill out the attached Finding Service contract and send in with retainer.

Q: What if I am uncertain as to what kind of car I want?
A: We strongly recommend you use our Consulting Service.

Q: What is the main advantage in buying used over new.
A: Avoiding the first year's depreciation hit. Why buy new when you can buy a one or two year old, low mileage car with a year or more of the manufacturer's warranty left, and save up to one third of the new car purchase price in the process.
